What you should know.. about what you don't know

How many times have you heard the phrase..

'What you dunno, won't hurt you'?

I personally think its a load of crap

I think its always good to be in-the-know

People tend to keep you in the dark

Possibly to make themselves look good

Or whatever clandestine reasons they may have

And usually they keep those secrets for a reason

Possibly because if you knew ...

Well, you might look at things differently..

.. At them differently ..

And so they omit, they omit quite a lot

And pretend, pretend quite a lot

And leave you in the dark

Out of the circle, out of the loop

But once you come across the truth

You seem to gain a different perspective

It throws some more light on the situation

And suddenly the half moon becomes a full moon

You see things oh-so-clearly

Most importantly, you know where you stand

And then you know how carefully to tread

And what your next step should be ..

They say 'What you dunno, won't hurt you'?

Well the Good Book says..

'The truth shall set you free'!!

~ Recently I had a discussion with one of my closest friends about the phrase 'what you don't know won't hurt you'.. and well, I don't agree. I dunno about you, but i always want to be in the know, i believe the more you know-->the more information you have--> then you can make well informed decisions. its not rocket science.
LOL, but i guess that not what the person who came up with the phrase was thinking, they were pro'ly thinking...well, if you don't know then you avoid the pain/hurt that knowing about that information might bring. But yeah chale, what you dunno can hurt you because you dun want to be the blind person living in darkness and making decisions on half-ass info. Just my sentiments. toodles boos. xoxo
