Anyhowhichway, Today I'll jsut focus on those 'still waiting' for their 'better halves'... because apparently, that is also becoming a serious problem. When people are getting cheated on and breaking up, others are getting engaged and getting married, and others are looking for boyfriends. Here is the advice I give to my friends ... Patience, my dear, patience!!
Oh, and there's also this Natasha Bedingfield song that I absolutely love (she's good you know). Do listen, its a little on the painful side, but its still a good song: Soul mate ... and I guess this poem is just to serve as a nudge, get your priorities straight. haha.
You're alone yet again
You think about the frogs that have come your way
You wonder how many more you're going to have to kiss
Where is he (she), and what is he (she) waiting for?
Is he (she) really out there making himself (hersef) a better man (woman), just for me?
Oh that's some bull crap!
Let me have him (her) already!!
But do you really want to settle for just anything
Isn't that what got you in this mess in the first place?
Tom, Dick, and Harry did not do the trick, did they?
Are you not looking for someone to complete you
Someone to really connect with
Someone to make you laugh
Someone who brings you such intense joy that all you can do is marvel
Someone who cherishes you
Someone who cherishes you
Or do you just want someone to fill up a space
Or should I say, fill up a hole (or a hole to fill)
Someone who will leave you emptier than you were before
A complete waste of your emotions, time and effort
Because those are not hard to find at all
They come like the subway trains
You miss one, and there's another one coming in 5 minutes
Its entirely up to you
But don't say you want one thing
And yet agree to do the other
For that just puts you on the train track to nowhere
If you feel you're a little too old for roller coaster rides
Then make sure you don't jump into one and end up breaking bones
Patience, my friend, Patience
Its a virtue worth having
~ Yup, I know sometimes I can be very politically incorrect, but you just have to deal with it. Atleast, I'm bold enough to say what's on my mind... and yes, the intention is both to shock you, and have you thinking! In no way is this meant to be offensive. Oh and this is both for the ladies and the gentlemen, hence the stuff in brackets on line 16, as for the Tom, Dick and Harry, guys you can feel free to change it to Rachel, Stephanie, and Zara. lol.
Here's a Jesse McCartney song that I love, and I insist you listen :-) Beautiful Soul
Cheers!
