I can till feel your breath against my neck

I can still feel your heartbeat against my chest

That familiar smell envelopes me

All these I hear, feel and smell

As I toss and turn

I cannot tell the difference

Between reality, imagination and dream

Across the waters I hear you sing to me

I hear you calm my fears

I run with open arms and dance with you

The ocean, our dance floor

The sky, our ceiling

The waves echoing a story

Of two bodies, of two souls

Who cannot live apart

An offensive ray of light intrudes

Rudely bathing my face

Unwanted, Uncalled for

A sweet dream instantly turns into a nightmare

For I can see you no more

Feel, touch, hear you.. no more

I wake up in cold sweat

Panting

Needing

Wanting

And hoping

That you find your way back where you belong.

New Beginnings

I woke up this morning in a jolly good mood

For a new dawn has come

Its time for new beginnings

One step at a time

One breath of fresh air at a time

Out with the old

Lest it rots and torments my soul

In with the new

For it brings with it freshness

But I save a little of the old

Just as a reminder and a lesson

I save the old friends as well

For they are invaluable and irreplaceable

I hold hands with them

And we move forward together

Away from darkness and into the light

With light-hearts we walk

Leaving our footprints in the sand so others can follow
