The Bullish Recovery

I really had no plans
Whatever, whenever was fine with me

I had no investment plan
Long-term goals, short-term, no idea

Now somehow I find myself in a bind
I am buying into an idea

I seem to have found the perfect bond
And it is not some sub-prime junk

And the only rating that matters is mine
No speculation necessary to leave me moody

Because its more than just a hunch
Mr. Top-Notch-Ass has proven himself an Asset

The kind you keep in your portfolio
The bullish type that kicks all your other options out

The type that makes itself available to only you
And asks that you take the risk and invest in only One

The Key

The Heart

The Promise

The return

Dividends

Over Time

~ Hi folks!!

To You, thanks for the much needed mental stimulation.

No Competition

I'm eager to play games with you
Nothing intense, no injuries involved
Something fun and simple
Maybe 'Uno' or 'Twister'

Yet these things you do not seem to understand
How do I explain? How do I teach?
When all you've ever been used to is 'fencing'
Fencing with one who left you

Left you with scars that refuse to heal
Left you with indelible marks
Indelible marks that I cannot compete with
That I will not compete with

I will not compete
You refuse to be taught
You refuse to be fixed
You remain 'en garde'

So I will not compete
Not with you
Not with your ghosts
Not with the one who haunts you

I will not
Compete

~ For  L.A.
Need i say more. Not everything has to be a competition, not everything has to be work.

Twinkle twinkle lil star

In the uncharted, unfashionable, not-particularly-scenic part of the universe,
Hang a not-so-regarded, smallish, wholly unremarkable star,
Or atleast 'wholly unremarkable' is what everyone else thought of it
This star was, by no means, the talk of the universe
In other words, no one gave it the time of .. day
More specifically, no one could see its light
Curiously enough, it was a star, hence it did what all other stars did..
It shone! Yes, like all other stars, it shone
Maybe its shine really was far from impressive, or maybe its light was blinding
Who knows? I sure as hell don't
In fact if this star was human, it would be described as ...
Mind - bogglingly dull, and definitely not conspicuously beautiful
.. and we all know how humans love the conspicuous
Yet this remote, got-as-much-sex-appeal-as-a-traffic-jam, almost-totally-unheard-off star
In the uncharted, unfashionable, not-particularly-scenic part of the universe,
Cradled in its arms, the heart of a golden sun god(dess)
And was actually the happiest sun in the entire universe
Infact, the whole universe could go stick its head in a goat, for all it cared
As long as it still had the golden sun god(dess), the only heart that mattered...
... May the fireworks begin ... Let the good times roll

~ The irony of it all.
~ Inspiration -
    1. I've been reading the hitch-hikers guide to the universe...lol, hilarious.
    2. I was listening to 'Lil Star by Kelis', I adore that song. 'Cos in the dark of the night, you're all I can see, and you sure look like a star to me' :-)
   3.  I woke up this afternoon (yeah, i'm not particularly a morning person), and guess what song was stuck in my head - You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are gray... haha, oh dear, sigh...dunno how dat popped into my head, u know.
