Amazing Grace

She lived a good life

Had a good run

Played her part in society

Gave life to others

Who in turn were a blessing as well

She was an inspiration

Indeed she served her purpose

Then it seemed that life dealt a cruel card

And oh did she fight

She fought a good fight

And won many battles

And as her time grew nearer

And the gates were opened

Beckoning her to a better place

She gracefully obeyed

It would be a shame to think

That she lost the fight

When she really is at a better place

Smiling down at you

Yes, shed those tears

For they serve as an outlet for the pain

But do not wallow in sadness and anguish

For she is smiling down at you
